What You’re Looking to Haul

Start by considering what it is you’ll be hauling. The right box truck is going to have no problem transporting the cargo you’re looking to move, and doing so safely and efficiently. This will likely be primarily about weight. As with any truck, you’ll need to consider whether you need a light-duty or medium-duty truck. Consider how heavy you expect your cargo to be. Will you be transporting a lot of items in one haul and will that lead to more weight? Are the items themselves quite heavy?

Because you’ll be loading cargo into an enclosed space, you’ll need to consider the technicalities of loading and unloading your cargo. Can you load by hand or will your box truck need to be able to accommodate a forklift?

Some box truck doors swing open, while others roll up, and one option might be more advantageous to you than the other. You may even want to look for an option with a side door for easy delivery.
