Commercial Truck Service Basics
In order for your commercial truck to work correctly, you need to keep it well-serviced. A truck that’s maintained regularly is far less likely to break down or suffer mechanical issues. Here are a few things to keep tabs on in terms of basic truck maintenance needs.
Check Tires
Your truck’s tires take a real beating on the road, so you’ll want to use a tire-pressure gauge to check the psi levels and air them up as needed. If you notice a tire has bald patches or other significant wear, replace it. Never drive on bad tires!
Look Over Glass
The glass on your truck should also be in good condition at all times. A small crack or chip in your windshield can turn into a major break if left unaddressed. Make sure that you’re also cleaning your glass inside and out so that you can see the road clearly. Keep your windshield wipers in good condition and top off your windshield-wiper fluid as needed.
Top Up Engine Fluids
The fluids that keep your engine running smoothly need to be replenished and replaced regularly. This includes regular oil changes, coolant flushes, and fuel-ups. Keeping your fluids clean and topped off will help to prevent engine trouble.
